  1. I always thought the hypnosis scene in the movie theater was the Patio Theater 6008 W. Irving Park Rd. Maybe you could do a little detective work on that.

    1. that scene was the rialto theatre in Joliet IL. The scene with the train station is in Joliet as well, the part that shows silver cross field......all in Joliet. IDK why this article said the whole thing was filmed in Chicago. A lot of it was filmed right here in Joliet.

  4. Maggie's Relatives House was filmed at approximately 6329 N Legett Ave. I lived across the street at the time. https://www.google.com/maps?q=6312+North+Legett+Avenue,+Chicago,+IL&hl=en&ll=41.995695,-87.752073&spn=0.000004,0.002384&sll=42.293779,-87.909308&sspn=0.114027,0.152607&oq=6312+North+leg&hnear=6312+N+Legett+Ave,+Chicago,+Illinois+60646&t=m&z=19&layer=c&cbll=41.995775,-87.752007&panoid=_zFReKtmsvxKIwiqJNvo-A&cbp=12,119.5,,0,-2.94

  6. Don't go down the street where Kevin Bacon lived in the movie. People will give you a hard time.

    1. How hard of a time? Going to chicago in june, this was one of my stops. Is iy not safe, or are they just rude?

    2. I did my pictures a few years ago. I didn't have any issues. People get sick of tourists sometimes. Just be respectful.

    3. I went to the house last week. I was discreet taking pictures. No problem at all.

  8. There was also a scene in which Kevin Bacon goes into Menards to rent and purchase tools to dig up the basement. This was also done in Joliet. The Menards from the movie has since been torn down and relocated.

  9. The block party scene that bar was a fake they built the outer walls just for the movie, I remember seeing them film from the L. I believe they spent about a week of so shooting the scene but the façade was up for quite awhile I think until they wrapped production.

  10. The bar in the block party scene was not torn down. It was a facade prop that was created and installed for this scene. I loved in the building it was next to at the time. It was there for a week with a guard 24/7
