Hello,
ReplyDeleteThanks for all these informations !
That's very very cool !!
Hi, thank you for the kind words. I hope to get a couple more pictures taken this weekend for the Hinsdale locations.
ReplyDeleteThe park scene is Burns Field in Hinsdale, Il
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you so much for the info as this location was driving me nuts for a long time.
Deleteis the treesouse still there
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that these buildings look so ordinary, when in the film, they seemed almost mythically perfect, especially the Wilson house, with the perfect garden. My favorite scene is the kids running around the streets at night--something we actually did decades ago.
ReplyDeleteToo bad the neighborhood gets a crap ton of crime
ReplyDeleteYay Hinsdale quiet and nice neighborhood but too expensive to live.
ReplyDeletethe garden society is a house in hinsdale 134 S. Park Ave
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. This has now been added to the page. Thanks again
DeleteIs the tree-house still their? I would really love to visit these locations :)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. I live over 3 hours from there. Maybe someone on here can answer that.
DeleteThe treehouse was built for the movie and was taken down immediately following filming. The tree, however, is still there, and it fairly easy to spot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pefect picture!
ReplyDeleteThe movie was perfect in every sense. The locales where it has been shot are just out of my dreams. Wish to see them once in my life. Thanks a ton for sharing detailed info. Wish you all the very best.
ReplyDeleteDoes the railroad bridge have a name?
ReplyDeleteLarry
DeleteWe literally just tried to locate this bridge 4 different ways in Elgin. It’s impossible to get to. Believe it is north of Irving Park (Chicago Ave.) just east of Rohrrson rd. We are giving up.
DeleteI'm having trouble spotting it myself
DeleteI think I was able to find it on Google Earth map.
ReplyDelete(42.0328042, -88.2259098) Pretty sure it’s this one
ReplyDeleteNO WAY, I HAVE LIVED SO CLOSE TO WHERE THIS WAS, I EVEN WENT TO THE SCHOOL
