ReplyDelete(and it's just south of goethe)
Hello, thank you for the info as I have since updated the page. I am really surprised I didn't figure that out myself. Thank you again.
DeleteThe ship in the shot is MV Abegweit, an icebreaking railway, vehicle, and passenger ferry which operated across the Abegweit Passage of Northumberland Strait, connecting Borden, Prince Edward Island to Cape Tormentine, New Brunswick between 1947 and 1982. https://www.marineatlantic.ca/journey/original-mv-abegweit

You are correct about the 5000 block of N sheridan. I posted on your Code Of Silence section as well about the Limo. I know these things because i was in the Limousine business for many years in Chicago. The N Sheridan location was mentioned by me, when I was dating a girl that lived near there, and it was mentioned to me that they were looking for a place that had the large staircases on the backs of buildings in the city.
ReplyDelete0:13 The picture of the policeman talking to the detective. This was on Pinegrove and Diversey. The patrolman was my English Teacher from Loop College Mr. Gutierrez.
ReplyDeleteSorry. I take the location back. But that is Mr. Gutierrez. He also had a line in the movie when they were filming on Pinegrove and Diversey; "You called for backup, we thought there was a riot!"
DeleteCheech and Chong filmed a movie called "Things are Tough All Over" it was also filmed north of Irving by the EL tracks in similar areas as "Running Scared"
ReplyDeleteOn A Stakeout And Getting Their Car Picked Up By The Garbage Truck, watch the TV show Monk, on demand Comcast, season 6, episode 2, that looks just like the same alley, that would be San Francisco
ReplyDeleteSnakes apartment is specifically 4645-4647 n Magnolia Ave 4647 unit 3N. That is a fact but it's unclear if they filmed in that unit.
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you for the exact address. I have updated the page.
DeleteHoly crap my friend lives at 5052 N. Sheridan Road. I've him my entire life but never would've guess Billy Crystal stood outside his building.
ReplyDeleteCorrection: I've "known" him my entire life.
DeleteWhere's Martini's Bar?
ReplyDeleteIn the first exterior Key West shot the Island in the background could be ''Wisteria Island''. But not sure...
ReplyDeleteYes that shot is Wisteria Island in the back. The bar they are purchasing is actually 276 Margaret St in Key West. Looks a little different today but the large building on the pier and the island in the back ground and the man made pier where the large boat is in the background are all still here.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the name that they called the bar in the movie? Can’t find on google
DeleteThe building that they parked next to during Rose's funeral and the robbery is Pongs repair shop at 3848 N Clark. There is condo building on the lot where they parked and were robbed.
ReplyDeleteAt about 1:22, there is a scene where they are driving the Mercedes down a street with a Hamm's and Budweiser sign. They are driving south on Throop towards 18th. The mural they pass when they turn onto 18th is still partially visible on the building on Google street view as of Sept 2017.
ReplyDeleteis that north or south throop? im adding all thes locations on google maps. thx
DeleteSince it was said that 18th Street was there then it would be South.
DeleteThat building is an SRO that used to be known as The Chatelaine...used to live there in late 70s
ReplyDeleteThe scene where the garbage truck is picking up the cab, I believe that is nearMorton High School between the two buildings.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you say that.
DeleteThe only similarity is the annex walkway but that's it. I went to Morton between 84-88 and don't remember seeing or hearing anything about this particular scene.
DeleteHi Everybody. Some of the scenes from Key West: When they step outside after sitting in the Sail Fish Bar is at the north end on Margaret Street. The Bank on the corner of Duval Street and Front Street. Danny and Ray weighs fish with the Key West Museum of Art and History in the background. They ride the scooters on S Roosevelt Blvd, the Key West by the Sea Association. Inc. building can be seen in the background
ReplyDeleteIn the "we´re watching the sunset" scene with Julie, there is an island in the background of the first shot. What island is it...?
ReplyDelete1:33:30 Riding On motorcycle south on Michigan Ave, with the Wriggly Building in the background
