In the episode where the new policeman says he not going to give up his SHIELD! NO SHOT!
ReplyDeleteIn Chicago its a STAR period!
Als is on taylor no adams
ReplyDeleteCould someone tell me on which police station is it filmed?
ReplyDeleteHi, the exterior is listed on the first episode on this page. Otherwise it is on Maxwell Street and Morgan a few blocks east of the fire station from Chicago Fire.
DeleteMaxwell and Morgan UIC Police station
DeleteSame police station was used on Hill Street Blues! I have a great shot from that classic show!!
DeleteMaxwell Street station
Deletei love the show one day ill come down there and hope too meet the crue it would be nice i live out in new jersey so its kinda far like 900 miles lol it would be such a moment if i could meet them.
ReplyDeleteWhere is halsteads apartment located?
ReplyDeleteIve been to chicago its an awesome city. The thing I love best of PD/fire and med is the show is shot in chicago and not studio. One question I do have is are any parts of the show in "bad areas" I was always told north good south bad lol I def want to go back and to see the areas the scenes were filmed
ReplyDeleteThat is a very good question. I don't want to influence you either way. Any area in any big city can get bad at the wrong time of day. The area around the studio can get bad at times. The best thing to do is walk around downtown. The firehouse was a bad area back in the day but it is a lot better now. I will eventually get pictures of every location but since I live about 3 hours away the locations are piling up. Just use common sense.
DeleteHey Chas, your obviously not from Chicago, let's be realistic here, your comment about any area is bad at the wrong time of the day, first off there is no wrong time of the day, 2nd the east side of Chicago is the worst and deadliest part of town no matter what time of the day it is, 3rd is the north side, you want non violence and safer areas to be in you stay south and west now that's a fact!!!!
DeleteHey Chi-Town, Are YOU from Chicago? There is really is no east side of Chicago, because that would be the lake. Also, the south and west sides are typically the WORST, not the safer areas. The north side is generally considered to be safest. However, these days, in 2022, even the north side and downtown are getting hit with violence. The mayor has no control.
DeleteHey ive heard that chicago crime is going up? is that still the South of the city? or is north getting hit now?
ReplyDeleteThey're filming at Elston and Foster
ReplyDeleteSept. 28th they were filming at the River Forest Tennis Club and at the River Forest Community Center.
ReplyDeleteHow can one go see where they are shooting? I would love too meet the cast crew and all. Also would see them live in action if possible
ReplyDeleteI live in the neighborhood where all this is shot. I have accidentally walked through scenes a few times during filming (although out of focus, far enough in the background that I haven't seen my silhouette in any episodes) it seems like they like to film in the late summer/early fall. If you want to happen upon a scene being filmed, hang around Taylor Street between Ashland and Halsted, or really anywhere between 290 on the North, and Roosevelt on the south, between Ashland and halsted. The Chicago Fire firehouse is slightly south of that region, and Mollies(in real life Lottie's) is a few neighborhood's further north, but it seems a lot of the action is centered around UIC campus. And, in the real world, Taylor Street is probably one of the safest streets in Chicago. There are a ton of restaurants on Taylor that give discounts to police, so at any given time, there are likely several squad cars parked on Taylor, with some officers always coming or going from a lunch break. A fair share of people I know here in the city think North=no crime and south=high crime, but it isn't really the whole south side. There are a few neighborhoods primarily on the south side that have very high crime, which tends to skew things, but by and large, there are large swaths on the south side that have some of the lowest crime rates in the city. Of course, UIC campus is in the west loop, which is technically not considered part of the south side, but just figured I'd offer some perspective from a local to the neighborhood where a lot of these 3 shows are filmed. Now, conversely, when I was first looking to move to Chicago, I looked at an apartment near museum of science and industry and president Obama's house, and I kid you not, the door had 6 deadbolts, which didn't inspire confidence in me wanting to live there.
ReplyDeleteCpd filming January 12th at maxwell and Morgan is going to be freezing of your brave enough dress warmly
ReplyDeleteI met and have pictures with Atwater and Halsted taken in Riverwoods filming on 1/15/16
ReplyDeleteAnyone know if they will be filming this summer in Chicago? Just got here for an summer internship and would love to check out the filming!
ReplyDeleteThey will start up again around July I believe. August for sure.

ReplyDeleteIs the fire house an active fire house? Is it a safe neighborhood ?
ReplyDeleteIs the building for PD precinct safe & open for tours or is it just the outside of the building taken for pics like cheers was?
Big fan of show and love Chicago wanna go back and go to sites of show
Just don't know good or bad areas
What is technically considered the border of north to south of the city?
Yes it is an active fire house and now a days in a good area. The police station with the front steps is just over a block from the fire house and just the exterior is used. All north areas are fine. West south of 290 and no further west than Western Ave is pretty fine. It is still a big city so you have to always be on the lookout and not look too much like a tourist.
DeleteMost of the exteriors for the Dick Wolf Chicago franchise are shot on the S. Side, in the Douglas Park ‘hood where Cinespace Chicago is located. A lot of home exteriors in later seasons are in the NW side Palmer Sq. neighborhood. Wacker & Columbus Drives are often used for other addresses, but are pretty obvious to us Chicagoans (and amusing—especially addresses that if real would be in the middle of the lake, or given the wrong directional, i.e. “N” for streets running E-W). No firehouse or police precinct (called “Areas” by the real CPD) serves so ridiculously wide an area as to the ones in these shows. But it’s picturesque, and if they stuck to only the near S. Side Douglas Park area it would get pretty old & bleak really fast.
DeleteCan anyone tell me the name of the Chicago Church featured in season 12, episode 4, of Chicago P. D.? My Mom is sure it was the Church in which she and my Dad were married. Thanks, in advance!
ReplyDeleteHope Lutheran Church; 6416 S. Washtenaw Avenue, Chicago
DeleteThanks so much, Chas... Hope Church is where they were married - in 1948!!! We even pulled out old photos, to compare. My Dad is gone now, and you just made an 89 year old EXTREMELY happy, to remember the good times she and my Dad had in that Church! God bless~
ReplyDeleteThank you for the message. That is nice. Take care.
Deletehey there, i'm planning a trip to chicago mid august, i was wondering if there were any main filming locations that we could check out in hopes of seeing some filming done. any tips, hints or suggestions would be great :)

ReplyDeleteMay 3-5,2017!!
DeleteWhen will they start filming July or Aug 2018?
ReplyDeleteI believe it is pretty soon.
DeleteIs there a set time of the year when PD films? If so, when?
ReplyDeleteI heard chicago pd was filming agian can anyone tell me how long they will be there?
ReplyDeleteWhere us the best place and time to watch cpd film?
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I are fans of the shows. Mainly Fire & PD. we recently went back to chicago (love the city) and drove around a bit to check out the sites PLUS they were filming per the blogs. it was pretty cool to see streets blocked off and all.
ReplyDeletethe only area that seemed somewhat sketchy if anything was near cinespace studios but your not allowed in so we basically had to drive back.
the Fire house gave me a tour so that was cool to see the actual real life scene.
no place to park for the PD station but still cool to see it in person
went to some great restaurants that the crew recommended from their blogs.
saw the silos when we left
Beautiful city!
Is there any talk/signs of filing starting back up?

ReplyDelete"I'm a big fan of Chicago PD and have been following the show since its debut. The show has consistently delivered thrilling storylines and engaging characters that have kept me on the edge of my seat. It's been great to watch as the characters have grown and developed over the years, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for the future of the show. Keep up the great work!"
In many episodes of Chicago PD, Voight can be seen taking criminals to a location along the waterfront to potentially dispose of them. There are also 4 large cement silos seen in the background. Where is this at?
ReplyDeletewhat is the name of the bar ruzek and upton were playing pool at in 6x03?
